Agreed Order 5771

The Washington State Department of Ecology and Port Townsend Paper Corporation entered into an agreed order (Agreed Order No. 5771) as a response to the State Department of Health's study.

As part of the order, we have installed a state-of-the-art weather station to provide real-time weather data for the community. www.ptpc.com/community.shtml.

Draft Health Consult Released by the Washington State Department of Health

On April 8, 2008, the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) released a health consultation report on air quality issues related to Port Townsend Paper Corporation. Read the report.

Industrial Footprint Project PTPC is one of five Washington mills participating in Ecology's Industrial Footprint Project. ASB Pond Maintenance Work


On July 20, 2009 PTPC will begin removing solids from the ASB pond as part of an ongoing maintenance and improvement plan. This work is planned to continue over the next 3-4 months. Please contact PTPC at (360) 379-4224 with questions.

Mill Picks Up Larry Scott Trail

When PTPC donated the land for the first part of the scenic Larry Scott trail, mill employees pledged to maintain this portion of the trail by picking up litter.

The Port Townsend Paper family of companies employs 635 people in Washington State and Canada, 285 of which work at the Port Townsend mill. The PTPC OCC plant serves the community by recycling approximately 127,000 tons of containerboard each year. PTPC also manufactures approximately 1.5 billion square feet of corrugated products each year at Crown Packaging plants in British Columbia and Alberta.
